Student Preparation: Please come prepared to sing both as a soloist and in ensemble. Bring a typical audition piece if you would like across any vocal style of your preference. Please know that this is not an audition, but an overview of your voice and how it fits into what situation. You may be asked to sing something I’ve prepared and unknown to you. You will certainly be asked to sing with no music at all. I will certainly ask the same of myself in passing out quick vocal parts on the spot. We will do ear-training like you have probably never experienced. Your music reading skills will not be evaluated. In fact, I’m NOT the guy who tells you how to sing......only how to sing better! Come expecting to have fun rather than expecting to be judged.

Please feel free to contact me this week before arriving or respond right here in the comments field. I'll be happy to answer any questions or concerns. -- Gary Powell
