Teaching/Speaking Schedule

Gary Powell conducts Austin Toastmasters Club
Gary Powell has trained performers and songwriters currently working professionally across the country including Broadway, Disney World, major universities, Hollywood, Nashville, Dallas, Chicago and points in-between.

For seven years, Gary served as adjunct faculty at the University of Texas School of Music where he taught a music business survey class for Radio, Television and Film majors. Also, he directed a small vocal performing ensemble, “Ensemble 109″, where singers learned and practiced for the real world of singing in recording studios. Not only did Gary write all the vocal arrangements for this group, but he also developed many techniques for bridging the gap between the discipline of classical singing and popular vocal stylizations …..all taught within the framework of the professional studio vocal ensemble.

This is where the singer prepares for every actuality in a real world recording session. Gary Powell presents vocal clinics and lectures across a wide variety of topics around the music business.
